Smalti filati are a very special material, one technique appeared in Rome (taly) between XVI and XVII century but developed during the XVIII century in the San Pietro Cathedral construction-yard. It consists in very tiny bars of colour glass smalti permitting to cut incredibly small tesserae with tweezers.
It is possible to choose the round or the flat type.
